A Huge Thank You for a Great Year!

The Lakeshore Civitan annual Claxton Fruit Cake fundraiser was a tremendous success this year, thanks to the incredible support from our community.

For those who may not know, Lakeshore Civitan is a non-profit community service club with a focus on helping people with developmental disabilities in the West Island of Montreal. Our major fundraiser is selling the world-famous Claxton Fruit Cakes in November and December, and the profits are given out to ten different needy Montreal West Island organizations. This year, we ordered extra cakes to ensure we could also give back to the community. We’re thrilled to share that our surplus cakes were donated to some amazing local organizations:

West Island Mission

ON Rock Community Services

Nova

St. George’s Food Cupboard

Extended Hands

West Island Women’s Shelter

Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence

Your support makes this all possible! By purchasing fruitcakes, you not only help us fund our initiatives but also enable us to spread joy to those who need it most. Together, we’re making a difference in the lives of so many in our community.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Here’s to an even bigger and better 2025!
